FRIDAY, MARCH 12—Welcome, Prepare

  • Registration, Sheraton Conference Center.
  • Book Store and Exhibits open—Hospitality Room.

1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. — Special Opportunities

  • Basket Weaving (Karen Ellis): Construct a cane basket. Must pre-register ($20 for materials)
  • Meet Antoinette Brown: First woman to be ordained, 1853; female pioneer, portrayed by Pat Jackman
  • Knitting, Yoga, Meditation: Not Too Tight, Not Too Loose (Julie Nelson): Gentle yoga & meditative knitting. Bring yarn/needles/current project. No yoga experience or supplies necessary.
  • Health Ministries/Relaxation Options: Reiki (Judy Braun & Linda Higgins); Foot Reflexology (Ellen Klain): Chair Massage (Sheila Campbell). Make appointment at Registration Desk. Nominal fee charged.

4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. — A Taste of Music

  • Preview of Celebration VIII music (Valerie Peterson, choir director).

5:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m.—Buffet (optional)

7:00 p.m. — Opening Plenary with Worship

9:30 p.m.—Gather by States, then Young Women’s Mixer – at a local church

10:30 a.m - 12:00 noon—Morning Workshops
