UGov Workshop
At General Synod in 2009, the delegates voted to support the concept of a Unified Governance Board for the United Church of Christ. The committee working to bring a proposal to General Synod 2011 wants your response and input to help shape the proposal. If you would like to be part of this discussion, plan to come to the UGov workshop. Facilitators will be two members of the committee, Diane Bennekamper and Liz Miller.
"When is enough, enough?"
Rev. Lee A. Ireland, Associate Pastor, Orange Congregational Church.
In these economically challenging days, we find ourselves in moments when we wonder if we’ll have enough to pay all the bills or get swallowed up in the storm of foreclosures or people having to move in with others in order to survive till we get to calmer days. How will we trust we have enough to get through? What can make us pause and not lose our hope in the midst of these challenging days – so that we keep our eyes focused on staying people of faith, hope and love?

In this workshop, we will glimpse a little of the past, introduce the frame drum for personal and community spiritual practice and ponder how this ancient piece of our faith history may live again in our congregations. You do not have to bring drum.
